In every subscription

What’s always included

  • Third-party insurance (mopeds)
  • Free servicing every 2,500 miles
  • GPS tracking
  • Anti-theft lock
  • Cover for commuting to work or study
  • £0 ULEZ · £0 road tax
Optional add-on

Damage & Excess Protection — £20/month

Damage & Excess Protection is a contractual waiver, not an insurance policy: if you take it, we won’t charge you more than £50 for accidental damage to or theft of the vehicle. It’s always your choice — never pre-selected.

Without the waiver

  • Damage/theft excess: £1,000 mopeds / £600 cargo e-bikes
  • Deposit: none

With Damage & Excess Protection +£20/mo

  • Damage/theft excess: £50 (non-waivable)
  • Deposit: £50, matching the excess

The waiver never covers rider abuse, negligence, breach of the rental agreement, use by an unauthorised person, or batteries and chargers not returned after a theft.

How much does an electric moped subscription cost in London?

A Moon Fleets electric moped subscription in London costs £179 per month (Askoll eS3 or eS-Pro 70), £279 per month for the higher-range Vmoto VS2 Citi, or £289 per month for the Super Soco CPX (availability on enquiry). The no-licence cargo e-bikes (CYCL Carr-e, ETT Trayser 2.0) are £125 per month. Every price is all-inclusive.

Each monthly price covers free servicing, GPS tracking and an anti-theft lock, plus third-party insurance on the mopeds — the cargo e-bikes are EAPCs, which by law need no insurance. The minimum term is one month, renewing monthly up to the 84-day maximum hire period, with one week’s notice to end. Optional Damage & Excess Protection is £20 per month — a waiver, not insurance, that reduces the damage/theft excess from £1,000 to £50 (with a matching £50 deposit; no deposit without it). There is no ULEZ charge and no road tax because every vehicle is fully electric. For comparison, a Zone 1–3 Tube travelcard costs £201.60 a month (2026 TfL pricing).

Frequently asked

How much is an electric moped subscription in London?
Moon Fleets subscriptions are £179/month for an electric moped (Askoll eS3 or eS-Pro 70) and £125/month for a no-licence cargo e-bike (CYCL Carr-e or ETT Trayser 2.0). The Vmoto VS2 Citi is £279/month; the Super Soco CPX is £289/month (availability on enquiry). Every price includes third-party insurance, servicing, GPS tracking and an anti-theft lock.
Is it really all-inclusive?
Yes. The monthly price covers third-party motor insurance (mopeds — the cargo e-bikes are EAPCs and need no insurance by law), free servicing, GPS tracking and an anti-theft lock. There’s no ULEZ charge and no road tax, because every vehicle is fully electric. Optional Damage & Excess Protection is available at £20/month — a contractual waiver, not an insurance policy, that reduces your damage/theft excess to £50 (from £1,000 on the mopeds, £600 on the cargo e-bikes).
Is there a deposit or minimum term?
There is no deposit — unless you take the optional Damage & Excess Protection waiver, in which case we take a £50 deposit matching its £50 excess. The minimum term is one month; the subscription then renews monthly up to the 84-day maximum hire period, and you can end it with one week’s notice before any renewal date. You just need to return the vehicle in acceptable condition, Monday to Friday, 9am–1pm or 2pm–5pm.
How does it compare to a Tube travelcard?
A Zone 1–3 monthly travelcard costs £201.60 (2026 TfL pricing). A Moon Fleets cargo e-bike (£125/month) and the everyday mopeds (£179/month) both come in below that — for a vehicle that takes you door-to-door on your own schedule.
Can I switch vehicles?
Yes — the subscription renews monthly, so you can change to a different vehicle at renewal to match your commute. Just let us know before your renewal date.
